Your position

 As Area Team Leader, you are responsible for coordinating and supervising all ED and PD projects in your region. You ensure that every assignment is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You combine strong leadership with hands‑on technical involvement, supporting teams on site and maintaining excellent customer relationships. You will spend the majority of your time on-site at our clients’ facilities, guiding and leading our on-site teams and taking part in field measurements..

You will be the driving force behind successful project execution. Your responsibilities include:

 Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and motivate multiple project teams

  • Guide Project Leaders and Operators in their daily activities

  • Conduct mid‑year and year‑end performance evaluations

  • Manage vacation requests and support disciplinary discussions when required

 

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure safe execution of all projects in your region

  • Support or perform on‑site measurement surveys

  • Conduct workplace inspections and project quality audits

  • Monitor weekly efficiencies and implement improvement actions

  • Review project data and reports before release

 

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain strong customer relationships throughout project execution

  • Organize and lead customer project meetings

  • Provide on‑site support to Sales and strengthen company visibility

 

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and DVGW procedures

  • Coordinate with the back office to ensure smooth project planning

Report weekly to the Operations Directors and the Country Manager

Job requirements

What helps you succeed?

  • A solid foundation through a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience as an ITS operator.

  • Strong affinity with the technical, chemical, oil & gas or process industry.

  • Clear communication, confident delegation and a natural coaching style.

  • A structured, process‑driven mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.

  • Sharp attention to detail and consistent adherence to procedures.

  • Fluency in German and English to collaborate smoothly with teams and customers.

  • Ease with Office tools and the motivation to quickly master any other required software.

  • Feeling comfortable in a hybrid role that blends leadership with on‑site technical work, including irregular schedules, peak‑time pressure, regional travel and periods away from home.
