Position: Sales Account Manager

To accelerate our growth in Belgium, we are seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager to further develop our Emission Detection (ED) and Pipeline Integrity (PD) divisions with energy and entrepreneurship.

In this role, you will combine account management with business development, managing strong existing customer relationships, building new partnerships, and creating commercial momentum in the Belgian market.

Responsibilities

  • Build a strategic sales plan for ED & PD and execute it hands-on.

  • Identify market trends and translate them into concrete commercial opportunities.

  • Manage and expand a high-quality customer portfolio in Belgium.

  • Lead complex tenders and multi-year service projects from prospecting to negotiation.

  • Create fit-to-purpose solutions based on customer needs – technically sound, reliable, and future-oriented.

  • Represent Intero - The Sniffers at trade shows, seminars, and customer events.

  • Closely collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Finance for seamless project follow-up and timely invoicing.

  • Maintain accurate CRM and reporting while monitoring commercial KPIs.

Job requirements

Requirements for the Job Opening:

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Preferably hold a master's degree in a technical or commercial field, or have relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience in technical service projects. Candidates with less experience but a strong interest in sales are also encouraged to apply.

  • Experience in sectors such as oil & gas, energy, or infrastructure is a plus.

  • Affinity with pipeline integrity, condition assessment, and risk analysis.

  • Experience with complex tenders and project-based sales.

  • Clear communication, effective negotiation skills, and ability to build lasting trust.

  • Structured, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Dutch is the primary language in Flanders, French is used with clients in Brussels and Wallonia. Proficiency in both languages at a professional level is required, along with a solid level of English.

  • Proficiency in common MS-Office programs and CRM tools.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.

  • Geographical flexibility and mobility, with most work done at client locations. One day per week in the office, supplemented by remote work and excellent time management skills.
